Government unions are not the same thing as private-sector unions. Private-sector unions were formed for reasons such as coal miners having lesser odds of living than soldiers on the front lines in WWI. They were treated like servants and not real people by the mine owners. They took away the only thing the mine owners didn't have. Labor. Public unions do not have the same background narrative. In Fact, Government Unions didn't exist until Kennedy lifted the Federal ban on government unions via executive order in 1962.

Private sector unions fight with management over an equitable distribution of profits. Government unions negotiate with politicians over taxpayer money. These same Government Unions are responsible for very large contributions to these same politicians they are negotiating with. This conflict of interest is easy to spot out and should not be allowed. Think about it, private unions are not able to send large amounts of money to their company management in hopes they can get more money from management are they? That would be preposterous and not responsible to the company. Do you see the conflict?
